I don't. Providing T-Jack can go should prove out several things. 1) Whether T-Jack can figure out how to throw something other than 8 yard laser. 2) With T-Jack starting and AD out for 2 to 4 weeks - zero wins - We then have a Top 10 Draft slot and can hopefully draft one of the 3 top college QB prospects in the 1st round. 3)Which then further prove Chilldress doesn't have a clue and is now way in over his head with no way out other than getting fired. 4) All the other Wisconsin almuns follow Chilldress out the door including Bollinger to make way for the next coaching staff - who ever that is? Please note I said nothing about #13 playing again this year, which he shouldn't unless either of the previously discussed can't play.Bleed Purplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09775235744429783053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8268346.post-77099935694393812232007-11-06T21:27:00.000-06:002007-11-06T21:27:00.000-06:00I know the Charger's had some injured players and ...I know the Charger's had some injured players and the mere threat of our mediocre passing attack helped AD run all day. But how 'bout a little love for our offensive line. Not alot, just a little. It doesn't look like they have to hold their blocks very long with Peterson blowin' thru the hole. But wow, some of his running lanes have been huge in recent weeks.pa vikinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02640004430951708135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8268346.post-36035097546034282232007-11-06T14:31:00.000-06:002007-11-06T14:31:00.000-06:00Everybody states that AD would get more yards if w...Everybody states that AD would get more yards if we had a more imposing passing game. But I'm not sure that's completely true. AD's giant games are the product of multiple 40+ yard runs. In that respect, our lack of a passing game is practically a blessing. Stacking eight in the box leaves nobody in the defensive backfield to make a tackle or take an angle after AD breaks the first level. Having no concern for the passing game, linebackers are selling out to stuff interior holes, thereby taking themselves out of the play when AD bounces outside. I guarantee AD would not have as many 40+ TD carries if teams were playing nickel and dime defenses against the Vikes.

Eight in the box is not working against AD because we have a good run-blocking line, AD can make a guy miss in the hole, linebackers are getting stuck behind the play, and there's nobody left in the defensive backfield that can't be juked or accounted for by a receiver.

AD is a player opposing teams can only hope to contain. Once teams accept that he can't be held to one and two yard gains all game, they'll stop selling out, start respecting his ability to break containment, and then accept that he's going to get his yards. But they'll figure out how to dramatically reduce the homeruns: i.e., play a more conventional defense, so that they don't get stuck in the backfield trying to drop AD for a loss every play.Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01706245821700953935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8268346.post-2078989871872773662007-11-05T10:08:00.000-06:002007-11-05T10:08:00.000-06:00I think that Peterson's 2nd half success had a lot...I think that Peterson's 2nd half success had a lot more to do with the injury and loss of Castillo for the Chargers than for the addition of Bollinger. As was pointed out by one of the papers today, one of those long TD went right through where Castillo's replacement was.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00271438263520129025noreply@blogger.com
